The Taj Mahal

Its Alternative History as a Vedic Temple

Compiled and Edited by Stephen Knapp

The point of this presentation is that we have all heard how the Taj Mahal, which is considered one of the great wonders of the world, was built as the preeminent expression of a man's love for a wife. That it was built by emperor Shah Jahan in commemoration of his wife Mumtaz. However, is this a true story?

In our continuous effort to get to the truth, we have acquired some very important documents, information and photographs. Regardless of what anyone thinks, here is some thoughtful information that seems to indicate that the Taj Mahal was never built by Shah Jahan. Some say the Taj Mahal pre-dates Shah Jahan by several centuries and was originally built as a Hindu or Vedic temple/palace complex, and that Shah Jahan merely acquired it from its previous owner, the Hindu King Jai Singh.

Included in this book is:

"Taj Mahal--Time to Tell the Truth," a practical analysis that shows the distorted history of the Taj Mahal by V. S. Godbole.

"Uncovering the Truth About India's History," by Stephen Knapp, which provides insight into the agenda of the invaders into India and how they tried to usurp many of India's greatest monuments, including the Taj Mahal, and distort its real history.

"An Architect Looks at the Taj Mahal," an analysis from an architectural view by Marvin Mills.

"The Question of the Taj Mahal," a profound and thoroughly researched and well balanced paper on the Taj Mahal controversy, by P. S. Bhat and A. L. Athavale.

"The Photographs," a collection of 77 photos that show the Vedic influence found in the Taj, and another 30 photos that show the similar influence in other buildings around Delhi and other parts of India.

"The Distorted History of the Taj Mahal," by Dr. Radhasyam Brahmachari. This shows how pervasive the false history of the Taj Mahal is and how it should be corrected.

"The True Story of the Taj Mahal," by the original pioneer in this topic P. N. Oak. This provides an overview of his research and lists his 109 proofs of how the Taj Mahal was a pre-existing Hindu temple palace, built not by Shah Jahan but taken from Raja Jai Singh, and originally built as much as 500 years earlier in 1155 AD by Raja Paramardi Dev as a Vedic temple.

All of this is presented for you to decide for yourself what to think about this.

Some years ago I put this collection together just for my website, including the photographs. Ever since then these photographs and information have circulated throughout the internet, appearing on numerous other websites, emails and articles. I have always been glad to have contributed to the ongoing discussion about the truth of the Taj Mahal, and in this way to the truth about the advanced nature of the contributions, both spiritual and material, of Vedic culture itself.

Some people have suggested I put together a book about this, but I always felt reluctant. But considering that I am getting older and my website will probably not continue long after my death, at least I should put this together in a way for a little more permanence. So here is the compilation of the material I put together for at least a Kindle Ebook, and pdf file, and to put all of this information in one place for accessibility into the future.
